ANOTHER STRONG RUN FOR AMBROSE IN KANSAS

Marcos Ambrose has enjoyed another strong run in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series by scoring a 14th place finish for the second-straight week in today's Price Chopper 400 at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City today.

Just like last weekend in Dover, Ambrose started from 27th position but used a good car set-up to move forwards through the 43-car field.

Ambrose even spent the final stages of the race chasing down the same car he raced hard with last weekend, in the #07 Jack Daniel's entry of Casey Mears.

The result is Ambrose's 17th top 20 finish and his fourth in succession, as well as the 13th top 15 finish for the Australian in his first season in the top division of NASCAR.

Ambrose is determined to make a strong finish to his 2009 season by showing strong car speed in the final races of the 36-race season.

Tony Stewart won today's Price Chopper 400 ahead of Jeff Gordon and Greg Biffle.

Ambrose will aim to grab his third consecutive top 15 finish at Auto Club Speedway in California this weekend.

WHAT MARCOS HAD TO SAY --

"We had a good day today," said Ambrose.

"The car was way better than what it was in practice.

"I think we made good inroads on our one-and-a-half-mile programs and I'm looking forward to next week.

"Our entire team is working hard to make sure that we have a very strong finish to the season so this finish is another positive step."
