Jimmie Johnson Captures Third Bud Pole of Season at Kansas Speedway; Team Chevy Drivers Capture Three of Top-Five Starting Positions for Lifelock 400

Kansas City, KS - Jimmie Johnson, No. 48 Lowe's Monte Carlo SS, captured his third pole of the 2007 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series for Sunday's running of the Lifelock 400.

Johnson's lap of 30.846 seconds/175.063 m.p.h. gave him his second number one starting postion at Kansas Speedway and the 12th Bud Pole of his career.

Team Chevy drivers Jeff Gordon, No. DuPont Monte Carlo SS, and Denny Hamlin, No. 11FedEx Monte Carlo SS qualified third and fourth respectively to give the Bowtie Brand three of the top-five starters.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr., No. 8 Budweiser Monte Carlo SS, Kyle Busch, No. 5 Kellogg's/CARQUEST Monte Carlo SS, Martin Truex, Jr., No. 1 Bass Pro Shops/Tracker Boats Monte Carlo SS and Clint Bowyer, No. 07 Jack Daniel's Monte Carlo SS qualified sixth, eighth, ninth and 10th to give Chevy seven of the top-10 qualifiers.

The Lifelock 400 is scheduled to start at 1:00 CDT on Sunday, September 30, 2007. ABC TV, MRN Radio and Sirius Satelitte Radio will broadcast the race live.
