RYAN NEWMAN (No. 12 Alltel Dodge Charger)
"We were off a little bit in one and two and I didn't see it getting any better. I think we're got a faster car than we qualified. We'll see how it goes in race trim. It was good we were fifth out of 20 and the car wasn't perfect. We can make some improvements on balance. I think we learned some things that we can change and make us better."
KURT BUSCH (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger)
"I love qualifying with this awesome Penske/Jasper power. Looks like it's going to be a battle with Kasey Kahne to the3 end for the Bud Pole Award this season. That's something new for me. We each have five poles now, so it'll be interesting to see how it goes the rest of the way. We've got to work on our car tomorrow. We're fast for one lap, but the car wasn't really comfortable. We've got to get it better for the race."
ELLIOTT SADLER (No. 19 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Charger)
"We were just too loose. That's still a great starting spot and congratulations to Scott and Kasey. It's great to have the three Evernham Dodge Chargers starting in the top 10. We'll go to work tomorrow and see if we can't have something for them on Sunday, too."
REED SORENSON (No. 41 Target Dodge Charger)
"We were really tight. We got in good and got to the bottom good. I had to get out of the gas and then back in it. When you do that it usually costs you about two tenths. We just needed to get the car to turn better. Hopefully it won't do that in race trim."
CASEY MEARS (No. 42 Texaco/Havoline Dodge Charger)
"I'm pretty unhappy with that. We really didn't practice any better, either. We're just off a little bit."
