Greg Biffle, driver of the No. 16 Aflac Ford Fusion, has four top-12 finishes -- including a second in 2005 and a third in '04 -- in five career starts at Kansas Speedway. He turned the fastest lap in Saturday morning's practice, 172.678 mph. Biffle will start tomorrow's race seventh.

DOES A DRIVER HAVE A TENDENCY TO SLEEP BETTER SATURDAY NIGHT BEFORE A RACE WHEN HE'S FAST IN PRACTICE? "Yes, but sometimes .no. Sometimes it's worse because you think you've got a car that can win, so now you're nervous about whether that car is going to run up front all day. And then sometimes it's unknown and sometimes you're pretty confident about it. So, there's kind of three different scenarios there. I've been where I've had the fastest car wby a tenth or two, on top of the sheet and all that, then been nervous as can be because I'm afraid I'm going to do something wrong during the race, you know, and we've got such a good car. Yes, you do normally feel at ease when you've got a good car. That's typically your mindset."

THERE ARE A NUMBER OF MILE-AND-HALF TRACKS ON THE CIRCUIT. DOES KANSAS HAVE ANY PARTICULAR CHARACTERISTICS THAT SET IT APART FROM OTHER TRACKS OF THE SAME DISTANCE? "Not really. It's just a little bit flatter, and it's different from everywhere we go. It's a little flatter than Chicago, and a lot of people have said they're similar. But, it is a little bit flatter, and it races a little bit different. I really like it. I think it's a fun race track to drive on."
