Jimmie Johnson has been with Hendrick Motorsports since the start of his Cup career in the fall of 2001.
Six-time NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Jimmie Johnson has yet to extend his contract with Hendrick Motorsports, but what would surely be the most sought after driver in the sport has no plans of leaving 'home,' unsurprisingly.
The contracts of both Johnson and long-time Crew Chief Chad Knaus come to an end at the conclusion of this season. The duo have the longest running driver/CC combination in the series with 2015 being their 14th consecutive season together.
Speaking with USA Today last weekend, the 39-year-old put down any speculation that he would be interested in looking elsewhere, saying “I’m home - I’m not going anywhere.”
Johnson has already won four races this season, more than any other driver as he seeks to match HOFers Dale Earnhardt and Richard Petty with a record seventh title.
