Jeff Green Exploring Options For 1999 Season

October 19, 1998 (Charlotte, N.C.) -- NASCAR Winston Cup driver Jeff Green announced today that he is exploring all options for 1999. Green, who currently drives the No. 46 Chevrolet for Team Sabco, is still unsigned for the 1999 season.

"It is October and I still haven't signed with a team for 1999," said Green. "It is the time of year when things start to happen in this sport and doors start to open that lead to great opportunities. When those doors start to open, I want people to think of me.

"Being a part of the Winston Cup Series has been the biggest challenge of my racing career, and I feel that I've proven myself as a competitor and that I belong in the series. It is my goal to be back in Winston Cup next season."

To date, Green has 46 career Winston Cup starts. This is Green's first full season in Winston Cup, starting 1998 with Diamond Ridge Motorsports before moving to Team Sabco. Green also made 20 Winston Cup starts in 1997 with Diamond Ridge Motorsports. He picked up his best career finish of fourth at the 1997 season finale at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
