The Red, White and Blue of LENOX' Industrial Tools & Jeff Burton's No. 31 to Color New Hampshire International Speedway for the LENOX Industrial Tools 300
LOUDON, NH (June 25, 2007) - Just a few days before United States citizens commemorate our Independence Day, the red, white and blue colors of LENOX® Industrial Tools will be celebrated at New Hampshire International Speedway with the running of the LENOX Industrial Tools 300. It's an event in which LENOX will also be the primary sponsor of NASCAR Cup Series driver Jeff Burton's No. 31 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet.
This is the second year that LENOX has been the title sponsor of New Hampshire's classic summer race. It's also the second time in 2007 that the East Longmeadow, Mass., based company will be the primary sponsor of Burton's NASCAR Cup Series car.
It's appropriate that the LENOX Industrial Tools 300 is so close in proximity to Independence Day, a holiday in which we honor individuals who went the extra mile for our country. LENOX is also honoring those who go the "Extra Mile" in construction and industrial trades with their recently announced 2007 national promotional sweepstakes - the "Extra Mile Experience with Richard Childress Racing Driver Jeff Burton."
"Everyone at LENOX Industrial Tools has been anticipating this weekend for quite some time," said Bill Burke, President of LENOX. "We're back for our second year as the title sponsor of the race with Jeff Burton, one of the sport's finest, piloting our car. We are committed to extreme performance found in the sport of auto racing, just as we are committed to providing innovative performance LENOX tools to the industrial and construction trades."
LENOX is represented throughout the season as an associate sponsor on Burton's No. 31 AT&T Chevrolet as well. The LENOX logo appears on the rear quarter panels of the car just behind the rear wheels.
Burton has four triumphs at New Hampshire's "Magic Mile" including an incredible win in September of 2000 when he led every lap on his way to Victory Lane. He has one win this season (Texas) and currently sits fifth in the Chase for the Championship point standings.
2007 marks Burton's 15th season in NASCAR's elite division. He's captured 19 victories and has finished in the top five of the final championship standings four times. In addition to his Cup success, he has also garnered 24 wins in the NASCAR Busch Series, two coming this season.
"I am so excited that the LENOX Industrial Tools 300 is finally here," said Burton. "I know the LENOX employees are pumped up about it just as we are. The New Hampshire track is special to LENOX and it has always been a special place for me. Just like LENOX is committed to being the best, our LENOX No. 31 team will go the 'Extra Mile' to try and get to Victory Lane this weekend."
LENOX, a leading manufacturer of premium band saw blades, power tool accessories and torches has an extensive product line including the LENOX Gold^A bi-metal reciprocating saw blades; LENOX Gold^A bi-metal utility blades and knives; and LENOX ARMOR Rx®+ bi-metal coated band saw blades for cutting structurals and tubing, just to mention a few.
