LOUDON, N.H. (November 23, 2001) The No. 01 Cingular Wireless Dodge R/T driven by rookie driver Jason Leffler finished 30th in the New Hampshire 300 at New Hampshire International Speedway.

Leffler started the event in 35th position but radioed in early stating that the car was tight. The Cingular Wireless Dodge stayed in the top-35 until the first caution when the car was brought in for two right-side tires, fuel and a wedge adjustment to loosen the car. Leffler restarted in 25th position and continued to race in the top-25.

A competition caution came out on lap 51 and the Cingular Wireless team elected to stay out and pick up track position; restarting in 13th position. Leffler continued to keep the car in the top-15 until the third yellow came out and the team brought the Cingular Wireless Dodge in for four tires, fuel and adjustments to loosen the car. The team restarted in 30th position on lap 106. Leffler raced into 27th position on lap 135 but went a lap down on lap 136.

The No. 01 Dodge pitted on lap 141 and the team continued to make adjustments to the car. From laps 142 to lap 190, Leffler kept the No. 01 Dodge in the top-35. On lap 191, the Cingular Wireless team took a green flag pit stop and the No. 01went back out in 33rd position. Leffler moved up to 31st position before coming in for the last pit stop of the day on lap 275. The Cingular Wireless Dodge finished the New Hampshire 300 in 30th place.

Leffler finished the season in 37th place in NASCAR Winston Cup Series championship points. He finished fourth overall in the Raybestos Rookie of the Year points.
