It's official: Stanley and DeWalt sign on with Joe Gibbs Racing

Tool giants will be primary sponsor on the Nos. 19 and 20 Toyota for a total of 18 races in 2015.

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. – Stanley and DeWalt will partner with Joe Gibbs Racing on both the Nos. 19 and 20, respectively in 2015.

Stanley will sponsor Carl Edwards for 12 races on the No. 19 Toyota. DeWalt will revive its support of Matt Kenseth for six races. Stanley/Dewalt will be an associate sponsor on the Nos. 18, 19 and 20 for the remainder of the year.

“We are thrilled to announce a new partnership for Joe Gibbs Racing with both STANLEY and DEWALT,” said Joe Gibbs, owner of Joe Gibbs Racing. “They have a great history in our sport. We’ve had a partnership with Mac Tools that dates back to our first days here at JGR. It’s an honor that they chose to come on board and support both Carl and Matt.”

Edwards has two wins this season and is currently 12th in the Sprint Cup point standings. He joins JGR after 12 years with Roush Fenway Racing where he amassed 23 career Cup wins and 13 poles. He won the 2007 Nationwide Series title and has 38 career wins on that tour.

Kenseth is currently 11th in the Sprint Cup point standings. The 2003 NASCAR Champ has 31 career Cup wins and has missed the playoffs just once since the Chase was introduced in 2004. Kenseth’s relationship with DeWalt dates back to 1999 when the tool company sponsored the No. 17 Ford at Roush Fenway Racing.

"It's really an honor," Kenseth said. "I'm excited to have them back."
