ELLIOTT SADLER - No. 19 Stanley Ford Fusion (Finished 38th)

"This is two years in a row where we haven't made a lap yet. Last year we had engine problems and oil leaks, and then the wreck today. The 18 spun out and we were trying to get checked up, but there was nowhere to go. Somebody ran into the back of me and we all just kind of spun out. It's just a shame. We felt like we hit on some stuff yesterday afternoon, and really wanted a chance to race today. We had a lot of people here from Stanley, so I apologize to them and my guys. We'll try to fix it and make some laps, but it's hard to put into words right now. I have not seen a replay yet. The first person I saw sideways was the 18, but I don't know what happened, and then we all just piled up from there."

KASEY KAHNE - No. 9 Budweiser Ford Fusion (Finished 13th)

"We just kind of battled the same stuff most of the race and couldn't get a real good balance. We were loose in and just weren't very good. It's just where we were today. We got 13th and even if things happened perfectly in traffic and all that we would have maybe run 10th at best, but we just weren't that good."

GREG BIFFLE - No. 16 3M Ford Fusion (Finished 3rd)

"I'm really proud of the guys and this engine program. This engine ran really good today, but I want to win one of these things. We had the fastest car, but the fastest car doesn't always win. We've just got to take some chances to win some of these races, I guess. Taking chances with two tires, I guess, is what we've got to try."

A FAST CAR ALL DAY. "The 3M Ford Fusion was a really good car. I'm proud of my guys. They built a great car. My hat's off to the Roush Yates engine group. We had some problems with this new engine, but we came back here and the thing ran flawlessly. I'm real proud of those guys. It was just really tough to pass today. I think we probably had one of the fastest cars, but we've just got to take some chances, I guess, to get a win and taking two tires was probably the thing to do."

ANY TIRE ISSUES? "No, I think the tires were pretty good. It's just that these race cars are hard to pass on this track. It seemed like the guy that got out front had a big advantage and we needed to be out front. We had a good car. I was way faster than Harvick, but just couldn't get by him."

A GOOD RACE. "We would have pulled it off. We would have won that race if we would have put two tires on and that's just as simple as it gets. Woulda, shoulda, coulda. It's hard when we haven't won in a year-and-a-half and Ford hasn't won up to this point. That's pretty hard."

MATT KENSETH - No. 17 Crown Royal Ford Fusion (Finished 12th)

"We didn't really perform very good today. It seemed like we had a problem. I don't know what it was, but we just couldn't really get it to run. I thought we had it handling pretty good a couple times and ran okay, but we could never get the speed out of it to stay up there."

CONSIDERING HOW THE WEEKEND STARTED ARE YOU HAPPY WITH 12TH? "I thought we made a lot of improvements yesterday. Saturday was a good day for us and even at times today I thought our car handled as good as some of those frontrunners when we got our track position up there. There were some positives and there were some negatives. We kept running worse as the day went on and couldn't keep up at all, and feel fortunate to finish 12th with the way I was running."

AT SOME POINT DID YOU HAVE A TOP 5 CAR? "Not really. There were times it felt like it and drove like it. We got up front and could hang out up there for a little while, but then we just started slipping back."

DO YOU FEEL TODAY WAS A STEP FORWARD FOR RFR? "Yeah, those guys ran better than we did. We had some problem with our car. I don't know what it was, but it just wouldn't go. But, yeah, when I got to racing Greg his stuff looked really good. I think the 99 ran a little bit better than us, I guess, most of the day."

CARL EDWARDS - No. 99 Aflac Ford Fusion (Finished 7th)

"This was a big step forward for us, big-time. Greg should have won that race and that's cool. That was a good race for us. I thought Greg was gonna get him. We were pretty good, but just lost track position at the beginning because of all the grass on the grille. That set us back. I think we had a car that could run top two or three, but we just never got there. We needed it to be the Brickyard 700."

DID YOU THINK ABOUT TWO TIRES AT THE END? "I didn't even think about two tires. I can't believe they did that and made it work. Congrats to Jamie, he's a good guy."

WERE YOU HAPPY WITH HOW YOU RAN? "Yeah. It's nice to come here and run the same lap times as the leader and then to have the leader be your teammate, that's good. I think that's a huge step forward. The FR9 engine ran really well. It was just a good day."

BILL ELLIOTT - No. 21 Motorcraft Ford Fusion (Finished 18th)

"At the beginning of the run I was just so loose. I never could get the car tight enough. By the end of the run we were okay, but by that time you lost so much ground to everybody else that you couldn't run."

AJ ALLMENDINGER - No. 43 Valvoline Ford Fusion (Finished 16th)

"It seemed like everything that happened to us was of our own doing. The grass in the radiator at the beginning and we probably should have cleaned it off and not done tires, but Mike thought we'd get back out in front of the leaders and we didn't. That just killed the rest of our day. We were just fighting the 11 the whole time to get the lap back. I just wanted him to get the lap back, so I would be the free guy to get it back and it was just a tough day. We salvaged something decent, but it seems like we keep salvaging stuff. We need to be a little bit better. We've got some stuff to work on. I thought we were better than a 16th-place car, but we weren't a great car. I'm proud of the guys. We're working hard and keeping at it. We've got to keep working on our pit stops. We've got a lot of stuff to work on. I've got to work on some things. We salvaged it, but we've got to stop salvaging stuff and actually have good days."

TRAVIS KVAPIL - No. 37 Long John Silver's Fusion (Finished 24th)

"Overall, we really fought the car being too tight. We tried to free it up and make the car turn better and all we did was make the back end kind of loose and take the rear end out of the racetrack. So we spent a while trying to get the back end of the car back into the track and try to figure out what we needed to make the front end turn. We hit on some stuff at about the three-quarters point of the race."

WHAT WAS YOUR STRATEGY ON THE LAST STOP? "That last restart we tried to stay out on little bit older tires, try to get some track position. But I just couldn't go. Guys were lined up behind me on stickers, and I got shuffled to the outside. And my car was extremely loose in the outside groove, so they just lined up and picked me off. I'm kind of bummed. I wanted to stand our ground a little stronger on that last restart. But that's kind of what you can expect on old tires and not the greatest-handling race car. Overall, not a bad day. Looked like we were going to have a top-20 run but fell a little short of that."

DAVID RAGAN - No. 6 UPS Ford Fusion (Finished 20th)

"I felt like we probably had a top-15 or top-12 car. We didn't have a winning car, but we could maintain our own right there outside of the top 10. For that last caution, we had fought our way back up after losing a lap, and we stayed out. Maybe looking back on it now, we probably should have pitted because it seems that new tires really helped on that last restart because we just got pushed around on that restart. I'm glad we didn't fall back anymore, and our car is in one piece. This was definitely better than where we were when we unloaded, we just needed a little bit more there on the short runs."
