Houston to make Cup debut at Michigan

BROOKLYN, Mich. (Aug. 9, 2000) Andy Houston, two-time winner in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series who is fourth in the current standings, will be making his NASCAR Winston Cup Series debut at Michigan Speedway for car owner Cal Wells. Houston qualified eighth and finished fourth in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Michigan in July.

Houston will wheel the No. 98 McDonald's Ford to showcase the company's Ronald McDonald House program. Houston will team with full-time driver Scott Pruett.

The Hickory, N.C. native tested earlier this season for Travis Carter at Kentucky Speedway.
