Paul Menard's Thoughts on Homestead-Miami Speedway: "It's been a pretty good season for us and the guys on this No. 98 Menards team have worked really hard. We've had some success and we've made some mistakes, but we've learned from it all. There are always some races you'd like to have back and there are certainly several of those I can think of this year, but the folks at Richard Petty Motorsports assembled a really good team and we came out of the box really strong. I'm proud of the way this team performed all year and I'm looking forward to finishing the season strong in Homestead."
Crew Chief Slugger Labbe's Thoughts on HMS: "Homestead is a little bit of a challenge because the race starts late afternoon and the lights come on and the track changes a little bit, but it's a typical mile and a half track and the sun beats on it a lot and the grip gets worse as we go. We were down there about a month ago and did a tire test with AJ and I went down there for that and checked some things out. AJ and that team had a pretty good package. We'll stick to the normal things that we do with a mile and a half package. We're looking forward to Homestead-Miami Speedway.
"We're looking forward to the season ending and finishing out a successful year. There were some races that we ran pretty well and some things didn't go our way. I know we're going to finish 23rd in the points, maybe 22nd but I definitely thought we should have finished in the top 12 to top 15, to be honest. We've got a lot to build on and appreciate everyone's efforts at Richard Petty Motorsports this year."
Chassis History: Crew chief Slugger Labbe and the No. 98 RPM crew have prepared chassis No. 653 for this weekend's event. This is the same Ford Fusion that the team ran at the event at Kansas Speedway. Menard qualified on the front row and drove to an eighth-place finish.
