Funeral services announced for Barney Hall

Funeral services and memorials have been announced for legendary Motor Racing Network NASCAR announcer Barney Hall, who died Tuesday at age 83.

A funeral for Hall will be held at 2 p.m. ET Friday at the First Baptist Church of Jonesville, 134 Winston Road, Jonesville, N.C., with the Rev. Stanley Stogner, Pastor Scott Price and Dr. Roger Hensley officiating. 

Interment will follow in Crestwood Memorial Gardens win nearby State Road, N.C., with full military honors provided by U.S. Navy and Yadkin VFW Post No. 10346. 

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the church and also on noon to 2 p.m. Friday, prior to the funeral service.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Victory Junction Gang Camp, 4500 Adam’s Way, Randleman, NC 27317; or Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017 Dobson, NC.
