COORS LIGHT TEAM FACTS

Sterling Marlin, driver, No. 40 Coors Light Dodge Intrepid R/T

* Texas: In five career starts at Texas Motor Speedway, Marlin has scored two top-10 finishes. His best start is 21st position (4/5/98); his best finish is eighth place (4/6/97). He scored two 34th-place finishes in his last two races at Texas Motor Speedway.

* The Coors Light team will take undefeated car #203 to Texas. Car #203 is the sister car to #115. It is a brand new car for 2002 and has raced in two events-- Las Vegas and Darlington-- capturing a win in both races.

* Marlin and the Coors Light team tested at Texas Motor Speedway on Jan 29th and 30th. They tested cars #115 and #203.

* Marlin is the only driver to capture five top-10 finishes in the first six races in 2002. He is the only driver to rank in the top-10 in NASCAR Winston Cup championship points since the 2001 Daytona 500.

Sterling Marlin's thoughts on Texas Motor Speedway:

"I love Texas and I love being down there. When they first built Atlanta, I hated it because it was a one groove, high-speed track. You couldn't pass. That's what I see at Texas. It's real fast, and I don't see how it's going to be a two-groove track. I hope it is. They've done a super job paving it and hopefully it'll work out to a two-groove deal."
