The car Rusty will drive this weekend was built during the winter months and debuted at Rockingham in the second race of the season...PC-29 did not have an outstanding qualifying run as it ended up 33rd, but it raced to the front and finished 7th...car returned a couple of weeks later at Darlington, where Rusty started 9th and finished 10th.

6 MARK MARTIN
Martin will have JR-89 this weekend for the second time in 2001...the car was built during the off-season and ran for the first time at Richmond in May...Martin put this Taurus on the pole for that event and led the first three laps before eventually falling back to a 13th-place finish...car has not raced since that event.

7 MIKE WALLACE
This will mark the third start for this particular Taurus...Wallace drove it for the first time at Martinsville and posted a 31st-place finish after qualifying 20th...it's last start came at Richmond, where Wallace ran 25th.

11 BRETT BODINE
Bodine has had some success with this car, which normally runs on short tracks or flat surfaces...had two top-20 finishes last year at Phoenix and Homestead with this Taurus...has run it three times in 2001 -- Las Vegas (38th), Martinsville (36th) and Richmond (39th).

12 JEREMY MAYFIELD
Mayfield posted one of his two third-place finishes with this car at Bristol earlier this year...that's one of two races this Taurus has competed in with the other being Richmond...Mayfield started 35th and finished 36th in that event.

17 MATT KENSETH
Kenseth and Robbie Reiser have decided to bring car #1 to Loudon this weekend...this Taurus also ran on some flat tracks a year ago and has two starts to its credit in 2001 and two top-10 finishes...Kenseth started 25th and finished 6th at Martinsville after leading 11 laps early on...also raced at Richmond and finished 8th after starting 19th.

21 ELLIOTT SADLER
Sadler was Tuesday's guest on the NWC teleconference and he called in during a test session at Greenville-Pickens in South Carolina...Sadler said he was there shaking down a brand new car that the team is debuting this weekend at Loudon...it's a Roush-built car and is marked as car #66.

26 JIMMY SPENCER
Spencer is coming off a fifth-place run and outside pole at Chicago last weekend...he figures to be up front again on Sunday as he's brought a car that has already posted two strong efforts in 2001...Spencer finished 9th with this Taurus at Martinsville and then qualified 5th with it at Richmond before ending up 16th.

28 RICKY RUDD
Rudd has also had a great deal of success with the car he will race on Sunday...car debuted a year ago at Phoenix and Rudd appeared headed toward victory until getting swept up in an accident with a lapped car...it returned at Homestead and finished 6th after starting 2nd...this Taurus made its 2001 debut at Richmond and qualified 3rd before finishing 5th.

32 RICKY CRAVEN
It was announced on Friday that Craven's contract has been renewed for 2002 by PPIM...he hopes to have a good weekend in front of the home fans with a brand new car the team has built...Craven shook the car down earlier in the week at Hickory Motor Speedway.

66 TODD BODINE
Bodine sat on the pole for the second time in his NWC career last week at Chicago...he'd like to have better luck this week with this particular car than he had in its debut start...car was brand new at Martinsville and qualified 12th, but engine problems limited his day to just 12 laps...finished 30th in its last start at Richmond.

77 ROBERT PRESSLEY
Pressley is still feeling good after a career-best 2nd-place finish at Chicago last week...he's got the same car he ran at Richmond in May when he started 23rd and finished 32nd...had a good run at Martinsville with this Taurus as he qualified 5th...ended up 40th after some debris knocked a hole in the radiator and caused engine problems.

88 DALE JARRETT
Jarrett's last victory came at Martinsville and it came with the car he will race here at Loudon this week...the last start for this car came in May at Richmond, where Jarrett qualified 20th and finished 15th...car was brand new at that Martinsville race.

90 HUT STRICKLIN
Stricklin will run the same car he had at Charlotte a couple of months ago...it was a brand new piece that debuted in The Winston Open and finished 17th...had a good run in the Coca-Cola 600 as well, finishing 16th.

97 KURT BUSCH
The car Busch will run this weekend was brand new for the Richmond race in May...even though it struggled with a 31st-place qualifying run, the car came to life in the race and Busch drove it to an 18th-place finish.

99 JEFF BURTON
Burton has driven this car at Martinsville and Richmond the last two years...finished 3rd with this piece at Martinsville after leading a 128-lap stretch late in the race...surrendered the lead to Ricky Rudd on lap 445 of the 500-lap event...Burton finished 14th with this piece at Richmond.
