CHARLOTTE, NC (August 28, 2008) - Robby Gordon always looks forward to going back to Cali, and this weekend he is even more excited than usual to head west. Monster Energy, a primary sponsor of Gordon's Off-road racing programs, will be also featured as the primary sponsor of his No. 7 Dodge Charger at the Auto Club Speedway for the Pepsi 500 in a unique flat black paint scheme.

New Sponsor - "I am happy to have Monster Energy on the Cup side this weekend," said Gordon. "We have a great relationship with them on the off- road side, and it's awesome to have them back again on the No. 7. Last year, they were on the car at Infineon, and we gave them a pretty good show. Hopefully, this weekend we can give them a better result." Remarks on Fontana - "When we came here in February it was the first time in the COT. We had a good race and stayed on the lead lap," said Gordon. "Hopefully, we can bring back those notes and improve on the top-20 finish. We still have a shot a turning some heads this year, and there's nothing we can do about the past, so we're only looking forward."

Hometown Track - Sunday's Pepsi 500 will mark Gordon's 13th appearance at the two-mile D-shaped oval in the Sprint Cup Series recording one top-10 finish and four top-20's. He also has three Nationwide Series starts with two top-10 finishes and a top-15.
