Carl Edwards on racing at Auto Club Speedway:
"California has been one of my best race tracks in the Cup Series. My first start there, I ran really well and ever since then I've really enjoyed it. It's one of the most fun race tracks to drive on because there's so many options there as a driver you can race all the way down on the apron or right up against the fence. It's a 500-mile race. It's a long race and it gives the drivers and teams a lot of opportunity to work on the car. We ran really well at Kansas. Greg (Biffle) was fast, I was fast, Jamie was fast, and Matt was fast. I guess all of us were fast. The whole team was fast at Kansas and if we can apply some of what we learned there, we're going to go to California and be aggressive. It couldn't come at a better time."
Crew chief Bob Osborne on racing at Auto Club Speedway:
"I am looking forward to California for many reasons. First, Carl always runs well there and enjoys racing there. Also, I think we made some progress on our program last week at Kansas that will carry over to California. We finished 10th at Kansas, and Greg Biffle had a shot at winning so I feel like we may have turned a corner to improving our performance. We gained a position in the Chase points, but we have a long way to go to catch Mark (Martin)."
