"You know what? I think the race is going to go, as long as we don't get any rain. I think we're going to be good. But, you just don't know. There's some water coming out of the race track. We'll see."

YOU'VE RUN JUST A FEW LAPS TODAY AND FEW YESTERDAY, BUT IT SEEMS LIKE YOU'VE GOT A PRETTY GOOD CAR? "Yeah, I think we're pretty good, but we just have to get some green-flag laps to see how it turns out. It started getting a little bit tight, shich concerns me a little bit, but we'll just have to wait and see."

WAS THE CAR RUNNING HOT EARLY? "Yeah. These cars are really, really bad about getting stuff on the grill, and my motor is 280 degrees. Lost some water, but it cooled back down, got the stuff of the ground. We'll just have to see."

Ford Racing drivers Travis Kvapil (2nd place), Greg Biffle (4th) and Carl Edwards (9th) all were running in the top 10 when the race was red-flagged because of rain on lap 88.

WAS IT PIT STRATEGY THAT GOT YOU NEAR THE FRONT? "Yeah, pretty much, but we've got a pretty good race car. We're just a little bit snug and we keep fighting this track-position game. We make adjustments and get the car better, the lap times and stuff were decent, but we still just can't get there. These runs are really short. So, we tried to get the thing up in clean air towards the front, I think it will help that tightness quite a bit. We've got to see. Now's the time. We've got a lot of ways to go in the race. I think we've got a pretty decent car. It belongs up there. Hopefully, now that we've got it up there, we can keep it up there."

A TWO-TIRE PIT STOP SEEMS TO SEND CARS TOWARD THE BACK. WHY IS THAT? "It's just a matter of the guys who got four got grip -- they got the extra two tires of grip. We'll probably sacrifice a few spots here, but we were running 20th, or something like that. Say we fall back to 10th, and we gained a net of 10 spots out of it. That's what we're looking for. I don't think we can go out there and lead or hold our spot, we'll probably drop back a few, but if we can overall gain five or 10 spots in overall track position, that's a good strategy then."

GREG BIFFLE -- No. 16 3M Ford Fusion

"The 3M Ford Fusion is pretty good. We have just a little more work to do on it. I made another adjustment there, and didn't get a chance to see how it's going to run. But, hopefully, this rain will get out of here and we'll see how we are."

GETTING FOUR TIRES SEEMS TO BE VERY IMPORTANT. IS THAT BECAUSE IT IS SUCH A GREEN RACE TRACK? "I think so. People just want to make sure their cars are full of gas and have four tires on it because everybody's afraid of getting a long run and then getting halfway and having this end. I just keep losing a bunch of spots on pit road on our pit stops. I'm not sure what's happening, but the guys are working hard at it, but we're just off a little bit right now."

CARL EDWARDS -- No. 99 Office Depot Ford Fusion

YOUR CAR SEEMS AS GOOD AS ANY ONE OUT THERE TONIGHT. "Yeah, the car is good -- really good. That's why I'm upset that we're stopping now."
