Eddie Wood, co-owner of the No. 21 Motorcraft Ford Fusion, added another driver to the Wood Brothers' impressive roster last week when Trevor Bayne made his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut at Texas Motor Speedway. Bayne, who was not guaranteed a starting spot, qualified 28th and then finished 17th in the race. Wood spoke about what impressed him about the young driver.

EDDIE WOOD, Co-Owner - No. 21 Motorcraft Ford Fusion

"All in all it was a very good race. He did a great job and he should be proud of himself. He had really, really good feedback with Donnie about the setup and what he felt in the car, and he just seemed very mature about his decisions and the things he talked about. Just like in qualifying. Before we went on pit road we told him to just go back up what he practiced and that would be good enough to get in the race. We told him if he did that we would get ready on Saturday and go racing on Sunday and he did just that. He could have tried a little bit too hard and it may not have worked out quite as well, but he didn't try to overdo it and wound up being the fastest of the go or go-homers, which got us in the show and everything was fine."
