MONSTER MILE MARKS FIRST OF FOUR UPCOMING CHALLENGES FOR MARLIN'S TEAM

DOVER, Del. (May 31, 2006)-- After a two-week stop at the 1.5-mile Lowe's Motor Speedway near Charlotte, the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series hits the road in June, traveling to four different states to compete on four very different speedways.

Dover's high-banked, one-mile concrete track is the first stop, followed by the flat, triangular 2.5-mile Pocono Raceway, Michigan International Speedway's two-mile oval and the 1.99-mile Infineon Raceway road course.

With such a variety of tracks in the near future, driver Sterling Marlin knows his MB2 Motorsports team has to stay on its toes in order to achieve the results it's looking for.

"The next month can be challenging," said Marlin. "We're going to four completely different tracks so we have to be ready for everything. Whether it's surviving Dover, having good horsepower in Pocono, or staying on the course in Sonoma, something new will be thrown at us each week and we have to be on top of it."

This weekend's Neighborhood Excellence 400at Dover's Monster Mile will be the first challenge for the No. 14 Waste Management team.

"Dover is a fun place to race but it's important to have a good car when the green flag drops," said Marlin, who has 10 top-10 career finishes at the Monster Mile. "If you spend too much time working on getting your machine tuned up during the race, you won't have time to get to the front. I'm confident we'll have productive practices and be ready on Sunday."

"I have a good feeling about this weekend," continued Marlin. "Even though we have a busy schedule coming up, we're going to take it one track at a time and see what we can do."
