KURT BUSCH (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger) -- Qualified 2nd

"I thought it was a great run. The way the car unloaded off the hauler, I was very comfortable. I have to thank the crew for setting me up with that comfort. When you come to The Monster Mile, you always a bit apprehensive on how your setup is going to shake you down, whether it's tight or, on the bad side of things, loose. You don't want to be loose here. It was great for us today to qualify second with the Miller Lite Dodge. I was trying to chase down (Greg) Biffle, but he ran an incredible lap. We've been testing a lot the last few weeks. It's helped to narrow down a setup maybe. It worked here. We hope it continues to work on down the road. To be good today is a small victory. We're just trying to claw our way back."

"It's nice and warm out. You know it's the same for everybody though on a concrete racetrack like this and you just hope to give your team your best. My team gave me their best with this Miller Lite Dodge. It's just fun to let it all hang out. That's why these fans like to watch qualifying here because you really get to see the driver up on that wheel and today the car was dialed for me."

ARE YOU A LITTLE SURPRISED AT HOW YOUR SEASON HAS GONE AND WHAT HAVE YOU GUYS DONE TO TURN THE THING AROUND?

"We always have our backs up against the wall it seems like. We just need to keep working hard and keeping that faith. Maybe things will turn around for us. It's just been some bad luck here or there, or maybe we're just fighting a tough, tight race car right now."
