KURT BUSCH (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Avenger)

"Dover is a tough place because you always want to drive hard. The banking invites you to drive into the corners hard and fast, but you're going to abuse your right front tires. I learned that from Mark Martin when I drove over with him as a teammate. You can really abuse your right front tire and get into trouble quick. We have to run more static camber and we don't get the front end travel like we normally do. It could be even more of a problem with the right-front tire. Hopefully everything will be cool."

COMMENT ON POCONO "Pocono is a track where you have to be very patient. Track position has a lot to do with the success you have at Pocono. It's a track that's been good to me in the past. I've won there before and finished second in both races last year, so we're looking forward to going there."

ROGER PENSKE PERKED UP WHEN YOUR NAME WAS MENTIONED AT INDY "The guy is just the King of Indianapolis. When he's there he's focused on his IRL cars. You give him a little taste of NASCAR and of course he's going to perk up. Whether it was me or just the person directing his attention away from the IRL cars,"

WILL DOVER BE A REAL TEST FOR THE COT? "I feel like every track to go to is a test to see what it can do. NASCAR already believes this is the right car for the future of the sport. It's competitive, so no matter where we take it we just have to continue to learn and absorb as much as we can with this car because it'll be what we run next year."

EVALUATE THE FIRST HALF OF THE REGULAR SEASON FOR YOU "We've had a lot of good poker hands, but we haven't been able to capitalize on either bluffing or getting the pots to come our way. We've had a few wins that slipped away and we had a few races that we led quite a few laps and we're top 10 in points. We can't complain that we've improved the team and made it more competitive week in and week out at all styles of tracks. Looking forward we see more COT races on the schedule. Those are the tracks we're going to and 2008 is the COT full time. A lot of focus is being put in that direction, and when we look at that, we look at The Chase races. Half of the Chase races are COT races. That's short term the objective and long term the objective and that's the Dodge Avenger."

WILL THE AVENGER BE A BIG QUESTION MARK AT DOVER? "Each place we go to that has more speed than the other COT tracks give it a question mark. How is it going to handle the side forces or the G-forces in the corners. We just bolt on the question mark hat and keep looking for what we think will make our Miller Lite Dodge Avenger the fastest car out there."

DO YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR PATIENCE HAS BEEN TESTED THIS SEASON? "It reminds me of my second year in Cup racing all together with having fast cars and the ability to go to victory lane just keeps eluding you. If you keep on doing it and get the car faster and change nothing, I think victory lane is just around the corner. We just need to keep doing the same job we've been doing and it will all come together. Some guys last year made The Chase and didn't win. We had won and we didn't make The Chase, and I was like, 'what's the deal?' It would help if we had a chance to go to victory lane and give us those five points for when the Chase does start and to knock one of these Hendrick cars out of victory lane. I think that would be progress. We're still patient. We're only halfway through the regular season and there's still plenty of time for things to get better."

DO YOU LIKE THIS TRACK? "It's always been a sentimental favorite for me. I made my first Cup start here in September 2000, and that memory will always last a lifetime. It's like 'I'm racing in the big leagues now. I'm here. I don't know what I'm doing, but I'm here'

IS DOVER ANYTHING LIKE A BIG BRISTOL? "It's completely different for some reason. If it was like a big Bristol I might have five Monster Mile trophies right now."
