KASEY KAHNE (No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Charger)

COMMENT ON WHAT PUT YOUR CAR BEHIND THE WALL "I had nowhere to go. I wanted to go low. I wanted to go high. I couldn't go anywhere. I was racing with other cars, and I was right in the middle of it. I was just trying to get to the front, and I couldn't get there. That's something you never see, Tony (Stewart) losing a car. He just lost it. Things happen, and I was the car that hit him. I was on the outside of some other cars and trying to battle. We had a great car. I'd already told Kenny Francis (team director) that our car was pretty awesome. It was just a matter of time to get to the front and we got collected in that. It's pretty disappointing, but that's the way racing goes once in awhile."

YOU WORKED SO HARD TO MAKE THE CHASE. WHERE DOES THIS LEAVE YOU? "No more championship. We all thought we had a shot to win the Nextel Cup, but you can't have two rough weeks I don't think. We're going to come back next week at Kansas and do everything possible to win the race. I think we'd have to win the final eight to win the Cup. Racing is racing. You never know what's going to happen. We just had a couple of things happen in two weeks and it's hurt us for our positions that we finished. I think we'll regroup just fine. We have a great team. These guys have done an awesome job all year. Maybe we'll dominate the last eight races, who knows?

"We have an awesome race team. These guys will get me back on the track and we'll gain some points, but it's going to be a tough hill to climb to get back to the front of The Chase. We can do a good job this year and win some more races, but the Nextel Cup is going to be tough to find this year."

WHAT OPTIONS DID YOU HAVE WHEN STEWART SPUN OUT? "Turn left and run over Burton and whoever else was on the inside of me or try to just hit the brakes and slow up. Tony did the same thing. He didn't want to back into the wall, so he was on the brakes hard. He almost came to a stop. I just ran out of room."
