YOU WERE FAST IN PRACTICE ALL DAY. "Yeah, it looks like we're gonna be OK. It looks like it should be pretty good."

QUALIFYING IS BIG HERE BECAUSE PIT ROAD IS SO NARROW, RIGHT? "I can't tell you what a good one is like because I've never had one, but the bad ones are bad (laughing)."

HOW TIGHT IS PIT ROAD? "I've seen a lot of wild things happen. I just take it so easy here on pit road. I'm so nervous about messing up that I haven't had any mistakes yet, but you never know. It's kind of wild because you go from concrete to the black top and then pit road is real narrow and there's a lot of action happening here. It seems like things can happen real quickly."

GREG BIFFLE -- No. 16 National Guard Ford Fusion (Qualified 8th)

"We were really close to what we ran in practice, but I was just a little bit too loose. It's unfortunate. I thought we were gonna be a little bit better, but we'll have to settle for that for now."

HOW IMPORTANT IS A GOOD PIT STALL HERE? "That's really important. Unfortunately, we went a little bit early but I don't think it will make a big difference. Some guys will have a chance to beat us as it goes. We probably won't end up as good as we want to be, but we'll still probably have a top 10 pit."

MATT KENSETH -- No. 17 DeWalt Ford Fusion (Qualified 3rd)

YOUR WIN HERE WAS SPECIAL WASN'T IT. "It was special to win here. It's always been a track I've really enjoyed. I made my first Cup start here and we always ran good in the Busch car, but I could never do it in the Cup car until this year. It's a lot of fun racing here. It's definitely enjoyable. It's a challenge. It's real fast. We had a really good car last time and so far, so good this weekend."

YOUR LAP WAS SOLID. "Yeah, it was really good. We didn't run near that fast in practice and the car did everything I wanted it to do. I missed it a little bit up there in three and four. I left just a teenie bit laying there -- just enough to be the difference maker. I wish I would have got it. If the 10 does hold on for the pole, I wish we would have got it because I think we had just a little bit more."

MARK MARTIN -- No. 6 AAA Ford Fusion (Qualified 9th)

"The car drove good in mock qualifying and it drove good in qualifying. I didn't get a perfect turn one, but that didn't cost us much because the car was good enough and drove good enough that it seemed to be happy to recover from that. I think it's a great starting spot. I'm very pleased. Anytime we qualify in the top 10 we're gonna race good. We feel real confident in how we're gonna race and now we don't have a terrible starting spot to have to deal with, so we're off to a good start this weekend. There have been a lot of smiles around our camp today."

DAVID GILLILAND -- No. 38 M&M's Ford Fusion (Qualified 39th)

"It's just unfortunate we had to go to a backup car, but the car felt good in qualifying. The first lap here on new tires is gonna be your best lap, but I didn't go 100 percent. I took it a little bit easy. We'll work on it tomorrow and get it dialed in. I feel real comfortable with the car, though, and it's real close to the car we had and that other car was pretty good, so we feel pretty good about our chances for the weekend."

WHAT HAPPENED IN PRACTICE? "I just got a little loose coming off of two on our qualifying run (in practice). There's a little bump right there and the car kind of unloads and it just got away from me right there."

DOES THIS TRACK TAKE A LOT OF TIME TO ADJUST TO? "All of these tracks we go to, each one of them has its own little quirks and stuff and this is definitely its own deal. That's why they call it the Monster Mile, I think, but that's what our deal is this year is to learn and we're learning. We're learning a lot fast. Besides what happened to our race car, I like the track. We were pretty good and I'm looking forward to Sunday."
