Elliott Sadler on Dover: "If you can walk away from a race at Dover with a top-10 finish, you should walk away with your head held high. It's such an interesting and fun place to race, but it's a tough one. Track position is really important because it can be a little difficult to pass there, especially if your car isn't handling exactly the way it should.
"We've seen some improvement with this team in the past couple of weeks and I'm proud of this Richard Petty Motorsports team for never giving up. All of our hard work is beginning to pay off and we'd like to finish this season on a high note. I look forward to getting to the racetrack every week and seeing what we can do."
Crew Chief Todd Parrott's Thoughts on Dover International Speedway: "Dover is like a Bristol on steroids. It's a big concrete track with a lot of banking and a lot of speed. You have to have a good balanced car, obviously and you tend to get a little loose into the corner. The center of the corner is tricky because it's a pretty tight radius so you have to have a car that has good grip and one where the front turns well. You also have to have good drive off because you can get loose off there pretty easily. Track position is huge at Dover because the lap times are so fast but if you can get up in clean air, your car just seems to handle a lot better."
Chassis History: The No. 19 RPM team has prepared chassis No. 652 for this weekend's event. This is the same car the team utilized in the spring race at Dover International Speedway. Sadler drove to a 28th-place finish after losing ground with a loose wheel midway through the event.
Notes: Sadler will spend time Friday night at the nearby Air Force base signing autographs and meeting with personnel during the annual Dover Air Force base social. Sadler and many of his fellow competitors, including teammate AJ Allmendinger, will make the trip to the base.
