Dover Do-Over: When the No. 40 crew and Stremme visited Dover back in June, they were poised for a top-20 finish before trouble struck on lap 274. The No. 40 Dodge made contact with the No. 48 car on the backstretch and had to go to the garage, ultimately ending Stremme's day with a hole in the radiator. Stremme was credited with a 41st-place finish in the 400-lap event.

Rookie Ranks: Stremme is currently sixth in the Raybestos Rookie of the Year standings. With 143 points, he is 117 points behind leader Denny Hamlin and only 25 points behind fifth-place Martin Truex Jr.
David Stremme Quotes:
"We had some bad luck at Dover back in June. We got in an accident and needed a new radiator. The No. 40 crew tried to make repairs but we were unable to go back out on the race track. Dover is a fast track and I like racing there but only if your car is handling well, if it isn't then it can make for a long day."
"This year has turned out to be a building year. We started over halfway through the year and we've gotten a lot better. If I had to rate my team, we're a mid-pack team right now but we're getting a lot better. The guys keep working hard every week and the results are getting there. We have really stepped up our qualifying efforts. We started inside the top 10 last weekend at Loudon and 11th the weekend before at Richmond. I am really proud of the guys and how far we have come."
