MATT KENSETH -- No. 17 DeWalt Ford Fusion (finished 5th)
"We really ran terrible, we just had great pit stops. We worked on it all day and never really got it better, but we had a decent qualifying position and just great pit stops kept us in the hunt for our DeWalt Fusion."
DID YOU NOTICE A DIFFERENCE WITH THE CAR OF TOMORROW, OR WAS IT THE SAME TYPICAL DOVER? "I thought it was worse, at least for me, personally; some guys got it to work. But it was just so tight all the time, you could never make it to turn, and if you've got the steering wheel cranked to the left and it won't turn, there's not a lot you can do as a driver to help out. But we did the best we could today. Congratulations to Martin Truex and that team. That's pretty awesome that he got his first win here."
ROBBIE REISER -- crew chief, No. 17 DeWalt Ford Fusion
"We worked on it all day, and it surely wasn't what we wanted, but we'll take that."
CARL EDWARDS -- No. 99 Office Depot Ford Fusion (finished 3rd)
"Congratulations to Martin Truex. What an awesome thing to win your first race at a track as tough as Dover. I had a lot of fun [Saturday] winning the Busch race, and I had a blast in this Office Depot Fusion today. I can't thank my guys enough -- at the engine shop, all you fans for coming out here on Monday. I hope you had fun."
GREG BIFFLE -- No. 16 3M Ford Fusion (finished 6th)
A GOOD FEELING AFTER THIS ONE? "Yeah, it is. We probably had a better race car than where we finished. I drove pretty conservative today; I got pretty beat up Saturday in the Busch race, made a mistake. I was just committed to not making a mistake today, and just drove the car and paid attention. You know, we wanted a top-five; I think we could've gotten it if Jeff Gordon wouldn't have messed with us. I was real loose, and let Jeff Gordon go, and then three laps later my car really came around, then he wanted to race me like it was the last lap or the last 15. It kind of cost us some ground, but, oh, well, that's the way it is."
FIRST RACE WITH NEW CREW CHIEF GREG ERWIN. "He did a fantastic job. Greg did a fantastic job. I couldn't be happier."
RICKY RUDD -- No. 88 Snickers Ford Fusion (finished 39th)
"We just ran bad, you know, but that's the last thing we need, to get wrecked. I don't know. David was racing just way too hard for that last position, whatever it was, and I think he watching me in his mirror and he spun, and did a 180, came back and hooked me and put us in the fence. It wasn't on purpose; he was just driving hard."
ROBBY GORDON -- No. 7 Menards/MAPEI Ford Fusion (finished 10th)
THIS IS YOUR BEST FINISH OF THE SEASON. "The bright side to it is our intermediate stuff wasn't that bad -- our Car of Tomorrow stuff stunk. And, I knew Gene [Nead, new crew chief] would make an impact with the Car of Tomorrow. We only had one test with Gene, about a week ago. We learned a lot, the cars are very, very driveable. And when you can race with Jeff Gordon and finish in the top 10, you can race to win. So, we had a car plenty capable -- started in the back and worked our way to the front. I'm real happy about that, and real happy about the Ford power plant. It didn't seem like we were down on power at all. It seemed like we were very competitive all day long."
IS TODAY A GOOD INDICATOR OF THAT THIS TEAM CAN DO? "This team can do more than this. We're just coming to some race tracks that are going to be for us -- Michigan last year was good for us, we just built a new car for there, with Gene's influence on it. We've got a good race team here, and we've got all the tools it takes to be competitive week-in and week-out. We just needed some confidence. [Former crew chief] Greg Erwin, I'm very, very happy where they finished today, sixth place for him over there with Biffle, and a 10-place for us. It shows that sometimes a change is necessary for both parties."
