No. 40 TEAM FACTS:

* Chassis: Crew Chief Steve Lane and the No. 40 Lone Star crew are taking chassis No. 114 for the Neighborhood Excellence 400 this weekend. Stremme piloted this car to a 33rd-place finish and 25th-place finish at Las Vegas and Darlington respectively.

* Dover Stats: In six Busch Series starts at Dover International Speedway, Stremme's highest start is seventh in 2003 and his highest finish is 16th in 2004.

* Let Them Eat Steak: This weekend Stremme will be making two appearances at Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon restaurants. The first will be on Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the location in Wilmington, DE. On Friday night, catch him at the location right outside the track from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.

* Ellis Charity Auction Update: Last week, the entire Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS) organization pulled together to raise money for the family of fellow teammate, Bill Ellis, who passed away in mid-April at the young age of 42. The team hosted a memorial charity auction last Thursday with all proceeds going into a trust fund that is being set up for Ellis' wife and three children. CGRFS held both the live and silent auction at its Concord, N.C. race shop and almost 200 items were auctioned off. The event raised more than $40,000 for the Ellis family. In addition to the auction, the team has placed three other items on eBay that are up for bid until next Friday, June 9, 2006. The items included are: an autographed side panel of Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s black No. 8 car that raced in the Aaron's 499 just last month at Talladega Superspeedway; a Jack Ingram Skoal Busch Series fire suit that is autographed by the five-time Busch Series champion; and four VIP box tickets to the Nine Inch Nails concert coming to Charlotte, N.C. on June 10, 2006. Check out all of these items on eBay and don't delay. All proceeds will go to the Bill Ellis Memorial Fund.

* Rookie Ranks: Stremme is currently sixth in the Raybestos Rookie of the Year standings. Stremme, with 83 points, is 49 points behind leader Denny Hamlin.

* NASCAR NEXTEL Cup points standings: Stremme dropped one spot to 37th in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup championship standings. He is 353 points out of the top 20.

David Stremme Quote:

"I am really looking forward to going to Dover this weekend. The entire team has been working hard at the shop and at the track to help the No. 40 get solid finishes week in and week out and I think that these past few weeks have shown that they have been able to do that. We have been fast on several tracks but we just have not been able to get the finishes we should have. I like Dover though; it is like a big Bristol. The speed and the fast paced racing make it a fun track to run at."
