Chad McCumbee:

"I have to thank everyone at Petty Enterprises for allowing me to drive the No. 45 Richard Petty Driving Experience Dodge this weekend at Dover. Kyle has been working hard on the plans for his daughter's wedding. I'm recently married myself, so I know how important that day is for him and for his family. It was my pleasure to get behind the wheel for him. The Pettys have been so gracious to me and I was happy to be able to return the favor."

"To know that they have confidence in me at a place like Dover means a lot. It's a tough racetrack. Dover is a big, fast place where things happen very quickly. But I've been pleased with my (NASCAR Craftsman) Truck Series finishes there. I'll be in the truck race again this weekend and that should be beneficial. The trucks practice on Thursday, so I'll have a good feel for what I need for the Cup car by the time Cup practice and qualifying rolls around."

"These next few weeks are going to be really exciting for me. Not only am I in the No. 45 Dodge at Dover, but I'm also racing at Chicagoland. That race will be the 50-year anniversary of "The King's" first start in NASCAR. The chance to be a part of a celebration like that doesn't happen often. Terry Labonte will drive the car in between those two races. Hopefully I will have a few chances to bounce some ideas off of him. He's one of the best and most respected racers ever. It will be an honor to share a seat with him."
