The 1995 MBNA 500 at Dover Downs International Speedway televised on TNN produced the highest value for sponsors of any NASCAR Winston Cup telecast on cable in 1995.

The MBNA 500, shown live on TNN on Sunday, September 17, and later rebroadcast, generated $37,658,995.00 in total sponsor exposure value, according to figures released by Joyce Julius and Associates. The firm publishes The Sponsors Report, which tracks sponsor value in all televised sport events.

The MBNA 500 ranked first among NASCAR cable telecast and fourth among all motorsport events. The only higher sponsor values were recorded by the Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard 400 on ABC and the Daytona 500 on CBS.

"This Sponsors Report finding clearly illustrates the level of success Dover Downs and TNN have had in delivering the marketing message of our sponsors," said Dover Downs President Denis McGlynn. "The physical layout of Dover Downs lends itself well to this purpose, and TNN has been most cooperative on marketing-related issues. We're very happy to be a leader in this category, which as everyone knows, is very important in today's motorsport world."

TNN will again provide live television coverage of all NASCAR races at Dover Down in 1996, beginning with the GM Goodwrench/Delco Battery 200 on Saturday, June 1, and the Miller 500 on Sunday, June 2.

Tickets are on sale for these events, as well as the MBNA 200 on Saturday, September 14, and the MBNA 500 on Sunday, September 15. To order tickets, call 1-800-441-RACE toll free outside of Delaware, or (302) 734-RACE long distance from anywhere.
