DOUG RANDOLPH (Crew chief No. 41 Target Dodge Intrepid R/T)
"I hope it's hot and greasy tomorrow for the Twins because our car is handling pretty good. If it's cold, people with ill-handling cars won't show up as much. It takes a lot for me to lose sleep. We're pretty confident. Out there drafting, we can go to the front. I think it's just making sure we're not a victim of somebody else's disasters. A couple of people out there are pretty desperate and are driving pretty wild. Jimmy has done this before, and he understands he needs to finish the 125 and he understands where he has to finish it. We've just got to watch out for other people's mistakes. The car was better today. We got it handling really well."
BILL ELLIOTT (No. 9 Dodge Dealers Intrepid R/T)
"That time really didn't mean anything. We weren't really the fastest. We were just in between two drafts. That's the only reason we were up there."
WARD BURTON (No. 22 Caterpillar Dodge Intrepid R/T)
"The car is pretty fast. We couldn't get the air push out of it Monday or Tuesday. We made some progress on it today, I think. If it's 20 degrees hotter, it's still going to be a problem. We handled great here last February, but in the July race we didn't. I need to get my race car handle better. That's what I need. What I've got is what I've got. It's up to me to make it work as good as I can, just like any other race team, no matter what make they run."
HUT STRICKLIN (No. 23 Hills Bros Coffee Dodge Intrepid R/T)
"We made some shock changes. We put our race engine in. We had been fighting tight conditions. I think we finally got it fairly neutral. I'm pretty pleased with the way it's driving. We're probably one of the few cars that ran the full length of a 125-mile race. I just wanted to see what it felt like long into a run. I was really pleased with it."
CASEY ATWOOD (No. 7 Sirius Satellite Radios Dodge Intrepid R/T)
"We just got in the right draft. There was a big pack ahead, and I was coming out of the pits. I had to catch up and the draft pulled me up there. The car was good today. It gets better every day we go. We've still got a lot of work to do. We're lifting off turn two about every lap, so we've got to fix that. The 125 engine feels pretty good. We've just got to get our car where I won't have to let off and we'll be all right."
FELIX SABATES (Car owner Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates Dodge Intrepid R/Ts)
"If a Dodge wins tomorrow, it's because all of the other cars in the race will wreck and fall out. We've got no chance with that extra spoiler. Jimmy Spencer's got a big problem. It's 38th in the owner points, but we're going to work with a couple of guys. They're friends and they're going to work with us. Sterling is going to do his chicken snake deal. Tony Glover says he's like a chicken snake in a restrictor-plate race, winding his way through the field. Sterling will be winding, and the Ford guys will keep whining so who knows what's going to happen tomorrow."
