Reutimann Discusses Racing at Daytona International Speedway
Talk a little about this weekend's race at Daytona--
"Being from Florida, Daytona is what I can consider my home track. Our goals remain the same here at Daytona and that's to get a good finish and keep moving up in the points. But there is definitely a difference for me personally when I come to Daytona. I'm back home, in front of family and friends, and people who have followed my racing career so of course it is a special place to run. It tops my list of tracks where I'd like to get a win, because of the history obviously, but also because this is the track that I dreamed about racing at as a kid."
"I had my best Sprint Cup finish in February with Ryan (Pemberton, crew chief) atop the box. We were going to be close to getting a top-10 finish but had a little trouble at the end, made some contact with another car, and were shuffled back into 18th. The July race is a little shorter, under the lights obviously which also makes it very exciting. It's the first time that I've been here when I've been locked into the race and that's a good feeling especially coming to my home track. Ryan has had a good bit of success here and he called a great race in February so I'm looking forward to a really strong run this weekend for the UPS Toyota."
