Two-consecutive NASCAR Nextel Cup Series night races have been delayed due to weather. Last Saturday, Richmond had to postpone due to rain showers in the Virginia area.

Today, the rain hit South Carolina just one hour shy of a race start. NASCAR official finally called the event two hours later and after the downpour.

Tonight, rain has washed-out Darlington's race, moving it to Sunday at 1:00pm (EDT). Which now causes a logistics problems for the teams heading to Dover for a Car of Tomorrow test on Monday. Word was given that the test will be moved to one day only on Tuesday.

After scoring his first Bud Pole in the Cup series, Clint Bowyer has to wait longer than he expected to lead the field to the green flag on the 1.366-mile Darlington Raceway.

The Lady in Black will be green tomorrow after the day's rain washed away the rubber on the oval. Mother Nature and the Lady have now forced NASCAR to run a race on Mother's Day for the first time since 1986 and that was the All-Star Challenge.
