"Darlington is a great race track, known for its history and unique layout. It's very fast and narrow, and the biggest challenge is getting around there as fast as possible, without hitting the wall. Since they paved it a few years ago, it's a pretty difficult place to race. You need a really fast car and you have to have the track position at the end of the race. I have had some success at Darlington in the past, so it would be great to walk away with a good finish at Darlington Saturday night for our Crown Royal Black team."
Crew chief Todd Parrott on racing at Darlington Raceway:
"This weekend we're going to 'The Lady in Black' which is what Darlington is referred to by many. All races at Darlington are exciting, but it's a place that I've had some success at and I truly enjoy racing at because there is a lot of tradition associated with this track. Darlington is much different than it used to be because the old surface used to eat tires and be all about tire conservation, but with the new smooth pavement it is not as much about tires anymore. Running close to the wall is what gave Darlington its nickname because it is pretty fast and the cars run within inches of the outside wall at both ends of the track."
* This weekend at Darlington, Kenseth will pilot the No. 17 Crown Royal Black Ford Fusion
* Entering this weekend, Kenseth is currently fourth in the NSCS driver point standings
* Kenseth participated in the Kyle Petty Charity Ride this week benefitting the Victory Junction Gang Camp
