KURT BUSCH (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger) Finished 12th

"The Miller Lite team did a great job tonight. The Charlotte test paid dividends. With this right sides being the same as Charlotte here at Darlington, we just kept the same frame of mind for four days straight which really helped us. It will be nice to do that again at the All-Star race and the (Coca-Cola) 600 and try to stick with the same tire and give our team some continuity and hopefully we'll benefit from it."

KASEY KAHNE (No. 9 Budweiser Dodge Charger) Finished 22nd

"We had to go to our back up car for the race and it wasn't nearly as good as our primary car. We struggled on power a bit, but kept it off the wall which is a positive."

***

JUAN PABLO MONTOYA (No. 42 Wrigley's Big Red Dodge Charger) Finished 23rd

"We went a lap down early and struggled with handling. I thought our Wrigley's Big Red Dodge was really good in practice and qualifying, we just struggled in the race."

ROBBY GORDON (No. 7 Jim Beam Dodge Charger) Finished 33rd

"I have to take my hat off to my crew guys. They went and put a (new) body on the car last night. And for us to run as good as we ran and brake an alternator wire -- that being the reason we ran 33rd - is a huge disappointment. It's just a wire. I don't know if Gillett-Evernham has broken one (alternator wire) before, but it's something that comes on the motor and I don't know, it takes two batteries to start it and I forgot to switch it over to one battery. It just didn't have any backup. If I would have known and not worn out both batteries from the get-go, it probably would have been okay. A mistake on my part; on the other side we shouldn't have failures. To be honest with you stuff shouldn't brake. These are pretty archaic race cars and pretty simple to work on."

STERLING MARLIN (No. 40 Dodge Challenger Dodge) Qualified Finished 34th

"The car was really tight throughout the night between Turns 3 and 4. The car got real hot; there was a problem with the interior cooling system and we had to come in and pit to try and cool me off. I just appreciate the opportunity that the Ganassi team gave me this weekend."

***

RYAN NEWMAN (No. 12 Alltel Dodge Charger) Finished 37th "It was just a disappointing night for the Alltel Dodge. We had problems throughout the race, and it ended up costing us in the points. We're going to have to work harder and hopefully rebound at Charlotte."

***

SAM HORNISH JR. (No. 77 Mobil 1 Dodge Charger) Finished 38th "I'm pretty sure that we had a right side front tire go down. I went down there and the front end, as soon as I turned in it just went straight. The car was handling real good. We moved up a couple of spots already. I felt really food about what the Mobil 1 Dodge was going to be able to do today. The days when we feel like we're really out to lunch, we kind of go out and run without a hitch and then the days when we're going to go out there and get top-15, top-10 runs we have a problem. We'll have to figure out how to get around that sooner or later."

PATRICK CARPENTIER (No 10. LifeLock Dodge Charger) 40th "Tonight was a step ahead again. I mean, we led on an oval and for a guy that did road course and stuff I'm happy. We keep learning but once we lost laps in the pits there's nothing I can do. I can't battle with the guys. They all get pissed off and they would try to turn you around and then after that we had a mechanical failure. But at the beginning I passed Junior, a lot of guys, and I was having a blast. It's fun. It's coming. We just don't have any luck at all."

ELLIOTT SADLER (No. 19 McDonalds Dodge Charger) Finished 42nd "I just made a huge mistake. I just went in too low into Turn 1. I was actually trying to give Tony (Stewart) more room and I just got loose under him and spun up into him. I've never had any problem with Tony. I know he's pretty upset with me right now. It's my fault. I apologize to all of his fans. I apologize to McDonalds. There are a lot of McDonalds people here tonight and I didn't give them much of a good show."
