Long Pond, PA-- Robert Yates Racing driver Dale Jarrett grabbed his first win of the season, the 29th of his career, on the 2.5-mile tri-oval at Pocono.

With two laps to go the caution flew as Jarrett's teammate, Ricky Rudd blew out a right rear tire and hit the wall. Although he led a large part of the day and looked to be on track to a win today, Rudd started to fall back as he felt his tire begin to leak. The driver of the No. 28 held on and finished the event 17th.

Nine drivers failed to finish the race. The one engine rule was tested to the limit throughout the 500 mile event, as were transmissions.

Rounding out the top five; Roush Racing's Mark Martin, last week's Dover winner, Jimmie Johnson, current points leader Sterling Marlin and four time champ Jeff Gordon.
