ORLANDO, Feb. 12, 2000 -- To commemorate his 1999 Winston Cup Series championship, Coca-Cola Racing Family driver Dale Jarrett donated one of his #88 Ford Quality Care Ford Tauruses to NASCAR Café Orlando where it will be on display throughout the 2000 NASCAR season. Race fans visiting NASCAR Café will no doubt enjoy the opportunity to take pictures alongside the car, as well as get an up-close-and-personal look inside. "NASCAR fans are some of the most dedicated fans out there," said Jarrett at the unveiling. "I wanted to give them something as a way of thanking them for all of their support and encouragement throughout the 1999 season. It really meant a lot to me." The unveiling ceremony was the highlight of an evening filled with special activities for lucky NASCAR fans from the Orlando and Jacksonville areas - winners of a Coca-Cola retail promotion. The evening started with a VIP dinner at NASCAR Café and also included an autograph session with Jarrett plus VIP seating for his championship car unveiling. The festivities also included a visit to Universal Studios where a few of the promotion winners tested their driving skills against Jarrett's at the Coca-Cola Wall of Speed, a state-of-the-art NASCAR driving simulator complete with full-size NASCAR Winston Cup Series racing cars. Jarrett's appearance topped off a series of Coca-Cola Racing Family driver appearances that also included appearances by Bobby Labonte and Jeff Burton at NASCAR Café and Universal Studios earlier in the week. The Coca-Cola Racing Family remains the cornerstone of Coca-Cola's involvement in NASCAR. In addition to Jarrett, Labonte and Burton, members of the Coca-Cola Racing Family include Dale Earnhardt, Bill Elliott, Kyle Petty, Ricky Rudd, Steve Park, Kenny Irwin and Tony Stewart. Other Coca-Cola Racing Family members include Ned and Jason Jarrett, Adam Petty, and 1998 and 1999 NASCAR Busch Series champion Dale Earnhardt Jr.
