Kevin Harvick isn't afraid of a little confrontation. But when you drag his young bride into the brouhaha? Well, then you better buckle up -- or end up under a NASCAR investigation!

NASCAR officials are looking into an incident where a member of the No. 10 Evernham Motorsports Dodge team of Scott Riggs pushed Harvick, resulting in him, his wife Delana and NASCAR official John Sacco falling to the ground.

"Those guys decided that they wanted to take matters into their own hands and trip my wife in front of their pit box and ran her over. That's a little bit unnecessary so we're not too happy about that," explained Harvick.

The Harvicks were not injured, nor was Sacco.

Several bystanders on pit road confirmed that a No. 10 crew member shoved Harvick from behind as he and his wife attempted to leave pit road for the garage area post race.

Rodney Childers, Team Director for Evernham No. 10, commented: "I was in the garage with the car, so I didn't see what happened. We're working with NASCAR right now to figure out exactly what happened out there. There are always different sides to the story, and we'll work with them to find out what the truth is."

NASCAR declined to comment other than to say they are currently looking into the charge and are gathering information.
