His best finish in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) competition was last August when he scored a 15th-place finish (started 29th). His best NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) finish is an impressive third place, which came in his first start at the track on April 4, 2005. Altogether, he has four starts in NSCS competition with one top-10 start and one top-15 finish. In NNS competition, he has six starts that include an outside pole, three top-10 starts plus one top-five and two top-15 finishes.

Juan Pablo Montoya and the No. 42 Juicy Fruit® Slim Pak™ Dodge (NSCS)
Sweet Ride: The No. 42 Dodge will once again carry the signature yellow scheme of Juicy Fruit gum for this weekend's race at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS). Montoya will pilot the Juicy Fruit Slim Pack Dodge for the seventh time this season.
About last week: Montoya and the No. 42 crew started from the 19th position at Michigan International Speedway (MIS) and finished the event 25th. Montoya battled a loose-handling condition on his Dodge, but he and the team made significant gains from their last visit to the 2-mile track where they finished 38th.
Bristol History: Montoya will be making his fourth start at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday evening. He earned the outside pole last fall in just his second attempt at the .533-mile track, and went on to finish 17th on the lead lap. In his last race at BMS he scored his best finish to date at the track, driving his No. 42 Dodge to a 15th-place finish. Montoya has completed all but eight laps in his four starts at the short track.
Tennessean: Tony Glover--a Kingsport, Tenn., native--is a team manager at the Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates Concord, N.C. race shop. He has been in racing for 35 years and throughout his career Glover has built the reputation as one of the top mechanical minds in motorsports. In addition, Glover has a knack for developing drivers and winning big races. Under his guidance, Ernie Irvan, Sterling Marlin and Joe Nemechek captured their first NASCAR Sprint Cup wins.
Meet Montoya: Montoya will be signing autographs at Food City Race Family Race Night in downtown Bristol on Thursday, August 21. Montoya will sign for fans from 6 to 7 p.m. in front of the No. 42 Juicy Fruit Slim Pack show car.
2008 Standings: Montoya gained another spot in the NASCAR Sprint Cup driver standings last weekend to 21st following his effort at Michigan International Speedway. The No. 42 team also moved up to 22nd in the owner standings.
"I like Bristol a lot. Of all the places I have ever raced, when someone asks me what track they need to go to I always tell them Bristol. As a driver you are up on the wheel all the time and you are always racing no matter where you are on the track. The exciting thing is that we have made a ton of gains on our race cars, and last year in the fall race we qualified on the outside pole and ran pretty well. In the spring, it rained and we had limited practice so we started by points and still finished in the top 15. "
Dario Franchitti and the No. 40 Fastenal Dodge (NNS)
Franchitti and Fastenal Return to BMS: This will be Franchitti's second effort at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) in a NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) car. He raced the No. 40 Fastenal Dodge at BMS this past March, scoring a 22nd-place starting position and then finishing just the same--in 22nd place.
Standings Update: With 10 races left to run this 2008 NNS season, the No.40 Fastenal Team is 19th in the owner standings. With a currently tally of 2,708, the team is just 194 points outside the top 15.
Rookie Standings Update: Franchitti grabbed Raybestos® Rookie of the Race honors for the ninth time this 2008 NNS season at Michigan International Speedway last Saturday. Franchitti is currently second in the rookie standings, just two points behind rookie class leader Landon Cassill (151-149). Then, just two points behind Franchitti is his fellow Fastenal Teammate Bryan Clauson, who stands third overall with 147 rookie points.
Fastenal Racing Internship at CGRFS: This year, CGRFS is proud to partner with Fastenal to offer an internship to two automotive trade students. Participants in the program will get to spend one week at the CGRFS facility in Concord, N.C., learning what it takes to prepare a car for race day. They will also be flown to Texas Motor Speedway to support the team at track this upcoming November. The opportunity is available to graduates, or soon-to-be graduates of an automotive trade program.
No. 41 TUMS QuikPak Dodge (NSCS): Chassis #806. This chassis is the same car Sorenson and the No. 41 team ran at Las Vegas Motor Speedway earlier this season to an 18th-place finish.
