Elliott Sadler, driver of the No. 90 CitiFinancial Ford, will make his 118th NASCAR Busch Series start this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway for the running of the USG Durock 300. The five-time Busch Series winner has just one previous Busch Series start at the 1.5-mile tri-oval. Last season he started 7thand finished 33rdafter a tire went down with 40-laps remaining.
SADLER'S QUOTES- "I haven't had the best finishes at Chicago. We always seem to run well there and then get caught up in some trouble. I like the track, the backstretch at Chicago is not quite straight. I think that makes it fast. If I can get through turns three and four and show that Yates horsepower down the front stretch, we should have something for them."
CHASSIS INFORMATION-The CitiFinancial team is taking chassis No.B14 to Chicago. This is the same chassis that competed at Kentucky Speedway earlier this season (started 28thand finished 10th).
LAST WEEKEND- Stephen Leicht started fourth and finished 26th in Friday night's Winn-Dixie 250 at Daytona International Speedway. Leicht ran as high as third before green flag pit stops began to cycle. On lap 44, Leicht hit pit road for a scheduled pit stop. He overshot his pit stall and was assessed a fifteen second penalty. The penalty would cause the No. 90 team to lose a lap and eventually finish in 26th.
POINTS- The No. 90 CitiFinancial team fell one position in the owners points standings to 29th.
TRACKSIDE LIVE- This weekend Elliott Sadler will appear as co-host for the popular Friday night's Trackside Live on SPEED Channel. Sadler will join Steve Byrnes, Larry McReynolds and Jeff Hammond as the fourth co-host for the remainder of 2006. Trackside Live at Chicagoland Speedway airs Friday, July 7that 7 p.m. ET.
