Carl Edwards on racing at Chicagoland Speedway:

It's a 1.5-mile track under the lights. The track is fun for the drivers because it is very wide and the surface has a lot of grip. In the past Goodyear has brought a tire that puts the race a little more in the drivers' hands because the car can move around a little bit. You can find places on the track with more grip than others and that makes it fun. We are driving hard and really see some high speeds which makes it pretty exciting for the fans and drivers."

Crew Chief Bob Osborne on racing at Chicagoland Speedway:

"I'm looking forward to getting back to the 1.5-mile tracks like Chicago. Carl runs really well at those types of tracks so we are certainly hoping to have a strong finish for the Aflac team. Tracks like Chicago, Fontana and Kansas seem like cookie cutter type tracks but actually they all have their own unique characteristics, and running at Chicago always makes for some great racing. We're racing at night again this week and that will just add to the excitement."

CARL EDWARDS enters Chicago 12th in the NASCAR Sprint Cup point standings, 514 markers behind point leader Kevin Harvick. In 18 starts, Edwards has accumulated one top-five and seven top-10 finishes.

ON THE TRACK...The No. 99 Aflac team will be bringing chassis RK-558 to Chicago. Edwards last raced this car at Pocono in June where he finished 12th. The car will be the silver Aflac paint scheme which Aflac has chosen to run most of the night races this year.
