DAVID RAGAN -- No. 6 AAA Ford Fusion (Finished 40th)
"We were backing up a little bit. Our AAA Ford was a little free and we were just trying to bide some time waiting for a caution and very disappointed to be the first caution. I don't know. I guess the 41 had a good run on the outside. I didn't know he was there and just pinched him up into the wall. I really feel bad to hurt his day. He didn't do anything wrong. It was just racing too hard too early on and it was just one of those things."
IS GRIP A PROBLEM? "A little bit. Everybody probably started off pretty free tonight. To be good at the end of the race, you've got to start these races off on the free side -- kind of a normal deal. We didn't expect for it to go out and have a lot of grip the first few laps, so it was kind of a normal deal at Charlotte. I'm just very disappointed that the AAA Ford Fusion is not out there making laps."
ROBBY GORDON -- No. 7 Jim Beam Ford Fusion (Finished 38th)
"We were loose all night long and could never get it to where I was not loose and we just knocked the fence down. Then we got a right-front flat tire and that put us about four laps down and we were still loose. Finally, I just lost control of it and got in the fence hard. We're trying to get back out there and score as many points as we can. We had the car fixed, but just driving around the garage it was all over the place. It turns out the rear-end housing was bent, so we had to work on that."
BILL ELLIOTT -- No. 21 Heinz/Ore-Ida Ford Fusion (Finished 35th)
"It's kind of been par for the course. We just couldn't run right off the bat for whatever reason. I was so edgy getting down in the corner, but after we ran a little bit it went away and I was fine. I could hold my own pretty good, but the problem is you get a handful of guys that have checked out and you're done."
WHAT HAPPENED TO PUT YOU IN THE GARAGE? "I think the 25 car started to get under me getting into turn three and he came up and hit me in the left rear and turned me."
MATT KENSETH -- No. 17 Carhartt/DeWalt Ford Fusion (Finished 34th)
"I don't know where to start. We had a pretty fast car tonight, we had something weird that we'd run 10 laps and I would get so loose in the corner I could hardly hang onto it. I have absolutely no excuse. I really feel like an idiot out here tonight. I wrecked twice and it seems like we've wrecked for a month straight, so I really want to apologize to my fans. It's kind of hard to stress how these guys work on this car. I really feel bad for these guys. I really let them down."
RICKY RUDD -- No. 88 Snickers Ford Fusion (Finished 11th)
"It's good, but it's bad. We ran out of gas when we got the green flag. I stood in the gas and it was buh-buh-buh-buh-buh and I pulled over to the inside and then it took off again. They were saying, 'There's no problem on fuel. You don't need to worry about running on the flat like everybody else.' They said we were good on fuel, but we weren't good on fuel, so that's really frustrating. We were seventh and we would have at least been seventh or moved to fifth."
YOU RAN WELL HERE IN MAY AS WELL. "Yeah, we have a new crew chief and a lot of things are different. As far as my shoulder, it's a little sore. I knew it was hurting, but on a scale of 10 it wasn't like something that you couldn't bear it. It was just like a bad headache."
DO YOU THINK YOU'LL BE ABLE TO RUN AT MARTINSVILLE WITH THE SHOULDER ISSUE? "I don't know. I'll know more about it when I wake up tomorrow morning and go back to rehabilitation therapy on Monday. Right now, this is different than Martinsville. I'll have to work it a whole lot more. It's gonna have to get in a little bit better shape. I don't want to start Martinsville and get out at the halfway point because you just lose too much time. So I'll know more about it, but right now I'm probably a little better than 50-50 for Martinsville."
CARL EDWARDS -- No. 99 Office Depot Ford Fusion (Finished 5th)
"That's great for us. We did not have a fifth-place car, so we're very fortunate to be fifth. That's good for us. We were barely a top 15 car, so I've just got to thank my crew -- everybody on this Office Depot team. That was a long one there at the end. All sorts of things are happening and we ended up fifth. It's a great points run for us and we really salvaged something today. We got very lucky. I definitely had a good time tonight at the end. That's cool. We should have five-lap sprints like that all the time. It was a blast."
HOW CLOSE WAS THE FUEL? DID IT STUMBLE? "Yeah, after that red. The fuel might have set there and boiled a little bit in the line and I went down in turn one and Jimmie's car kind of quit and mine started missing. I think a lot of guys were vapor-locking, but we got great fuel mileage. Bob said to just be cautious, so we were good."
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT MARTINSVILLE? "Martinsville. I'm glad we ran well here. I have a tough time at Martinsville, but it's about time we had a good race there and hopefully this will be the one. We haven't had a good Cup race there yet, but we've got a great car of tomorrow program, so it should be good."
