BALDWIN ON TEXAS
"We certainly feel like we have had a strong car there the last couple of years. We had some shock problems last year during the race, but we feel like we have solved that [problem and shouldn't need to worry about it again.
"We're bringing a brand new car this year and feel like it should be pretty competitive. Ward really gets around Texas real well. He had a problem during practice and wrecked the primary car, but our back-up car was just as good. We should have had a better finish had we not had a bad shock."
BALDWIN ON BRISTOL
"The car handled real well last week. We had good pit stops and a good car. It was just an all around good day for the CAT team. We feel like we got our rhythm back and should be able to pick up this week where we left off at Bristol.
"We took a chance on putting two tires on there at the beginning and it turned out to be a great call. It gave Ward the track position that he needed and the tires held up surprisingly well. The times were very consistent and didn't fall off substantially like they used to. That new tire had great performance and reliability. The one thing we did notice is that there wasn't a second groove like there normally is. You really had to work at getting past cars, but once you did you could almost guarantee staying in front of them."
