FOX commentator Darrell Waltrip has plans to return to auto racing as soon as April 13th.

Waltrip, who retired at the end of the 2000 season, will jump in a Stacy Compton owned truck when the Craftsman Truck Series hits the track at Martinsville Speedway.

Waltrip was scheduled to announce a Busch Series race in Nashville the same day of the CTS race, but FX has given him permission to miss the BGN event.

Also missing the BGN race will be announcing buddy as well as his former crew chief, will be Jeff Hammond, who will reportedly be part of Waltrip's crew.

Attempting the CTS race along with Waltrip will be Winston Cup team owner Andy Petree, who will be driving for Bobby Hamilton. Petree owns Hamilton's No. 55 Cup ride.
