Notes: Both the NASCAR Nextel Cup and Busch Series teams will run the same tire set-up this weekend . . . this is the first time Goodyear has brought this combination of left- and right-side tires to Richmond, though Cup and Busch teams did run this set-up two weeks ago at Phoenix . . . in addition to those two tracks, teams will run this same combination at New Hampshire in 2006 . . . as on most ovals less than one mile in length, teams will not run inner liners in their tires at Richmond.
Goodyear Quote -- Mark Keto, Lead Engineer, Stock Car Racing: "This tire combination is our intermediate track set-up for '06. These tires is very similar to what we brought to Richmond, Phoenix and Loudon last year in that the compounds on both sides are the same, with a softer left-side construction. Since teams ran this set-up in race conditions a couple weeks ago at Phoenix, they should have a pretty good idea how they will respond."
