Notes: Teams in all three NASCAR series will run the same tire codes at Homestead this weekend, though the Nextel Cup and Busch Series tires will be branded "Goodyear Eagle," while the Craftsman Truck tires will be branded "Goodyear Wrangler" . . . this is the first time that Goodyear has brought this specific combination of left- and right-side tires to Homestead, though teams in these three series ran this right-side (D-4064) with a different left-side here in 2006 . . . in addition to Homestead, this specific tire combination has been run at Texas and Chicagoland this year . . . this left-side code (D-4078) has also been run with a slightly different right-side code by major NASCAR teams at California, Dover, Michigan, Kansas and Kentucky this season . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Homestead . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.
Goodyear Blimp: Goodyear's "Spirit of Innovation," based out of Pompano Beach, Fla., will be covering the NASCAR races at Homestead this weekend.
