JOHNNY BENSON, NO. 10 VALVOLINE PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
"We picked up some, but not near enough. Everybody was picking up a half a second and we didn't pick up anything. But, that's okay. I think the Valvoline Pontiac is going to race good.
"I think we were really good all the way up until I got to turn three and I expected the car to have a little more grip there than what I had, but it didn't.
"But, I feel good about our setup for the race. We'll just have to come back up through there like we did in the spring (finished sixth)."
TONY STEWART, NO. 20 HOME DEPOT PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
"We gained about four tenths from practice, so that was good. Qualifying here is not my strong suit here, by any means. It never has been. We just need something that is relatively close to the front and we'll just work from there. The race setup work we do tomorrow will be a pretty big key for figuring out where we need to be. We'll just wait and see what happens."
BOBBY LABONTE, NO. 18 INTERSTATE BATTERIES PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
"It was a good lap. We ran a more comfortable lap in practice. In qualifying, it was a little bit too loose on entries. It didn't feel like it was going to get any faster the second lap, so I figured I would just abort and save it for Sunday.
"But, it was still a good job by all the guys on the Interstate Batteries Pontiac. We've certainly been struggling a little bit here. I don't know where we qualified in the springtime (18th), but I know we're better now than we were then - speed-wise, compared to the top guys - so, that helps us out. Hopefully, we've got a little confidence."
