STATEVILLE-- Like all drivers No. 43 Valvoline Dodge Driver Reed Sorenson looks forward to Saturday night's 500-lap race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The Peachtree City, Ga. native is also looking forward to his Sept. 4 charity golf tournament at Eagles Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Ga. near Atlanta Motor Speedway. Proceeds from Sorenson's tournament go toward Speedway Children's Charities. Fans interested in attending can register at www.magnoliagolfgroup.com/reed. For more information call Shaun Birindell at 770-946-3980 or visit speedwaycharities.org.

CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT-- "It's something I really like doing. We have other drivers and celebrities come out and join us for a really cool day. It's neat to hang out with people on their day off and just enjoy playing golf and talking. We plan to raise some money for all the good work the Children's Charities does around the country. Eagles Landing is a really great course as well. Golf is a good way to relax and just get away from racing for a bit."

* The Petty organization hasn't had a DNF in 144 races--the longest stretch in Sprint Cup racing.

* Saturday's race marks Sorenson's 133rd Sprint Cup race.

* Sorenson started seventh and finished 23rd in March at Bristol.
