Bristol Motor Speedway

* Johnson has made 15 Sprint Cup Series starts at Bristol Motor Speedway, posting three top-five and seven top-10 finishes.

* The .533-mile short track is one of only six Sprint Cup venues at which Johnson hasn't visited Victory Lane. The others are Michigan, Infineon, Chicago, Watkins Glen and Homestead.

* The three-time champion has completed 97.8% (7349 of 7513) of competition laps at the track and has led 131.

* Johnson has an average start and finish of 16.3 and 16.4.

Chassis

* Johnson will pilot chassis No. 480 in Saturday night's race. He last drove that car to a career-best third-place finish at Bristol Motor Speedway in March.

* Johnson took backup chassis number 465 to Victory Lane at Dover International Speedway in June.

JIMMIE JOHNSON:

THINKING BACK TO THE OLD TRACK AT BRISTOL AND THE NEW ONE, WAS BRISTOL KIND OF LIKE A MINDSET OF A WARRIOR MENTALITY? "Yeah the old track in general was a dog eat dog world. If you were a half of tenth off and you were on the good side and a half of tenth faster than guys you had a great evening, if you're a half of tenth off you're in everybody's way and every guy that got to you was going to knock you out of the way. I know the fans really enjoyed that from everything I've seen so far but from a racing standpoint its nice going to the track now knowing that you can actually race for your positions. If you don't have the best car a guy has the option of going around and isn't just going to dump you. I like that aspect of it."
