REED SORENSON (No. 43 Valvoline Dodge Charger) Qualified 10th

"It was pretty good. We were good in practice. I think we did everything right to the car for qualifying. Starting up front helps. We need the car to turn a little better in the center. We're just one or two adjustments away from being a really fast. Right now, I think we're a top 15 car. We just need to get it turning a little better in the center."

KURT BUSCH (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger) Qualified 13th

"I felt like I left a little bit in (Turns) 3 and 4 and maybe that's where Mark Martin capitalized on us. That guy has been capitalizing all year. He's been making us young guys pretty silly on qualifying day. Mark's got a great lap. Our Miller Lite Dodge might hang in there for a top five, but definitely a top-10 run. For Saturday night's race, you gotta keep your car clean, stay out of trouble and maybe that sixth win is right around the corner."

WHAT'S THE KEY TO GETTING AROUND BRISTOL? "The biggest thing is to protect your race car for the full 500 laps. You have to put yourself in position at the end of the race to win the race. You don't have to lead them all (laps), you just have to lead the right ones. Each part of the race is a different strategy, different feeling. If you can survive the first 400 laps, then you race the last 100 hard and try to be there at the end to get a race win."

AJ ALLMENDINGER (No. 44 Hunt Brothers Pizza Dodge Charger) Qualified 19th

"The run wasn't what we wanted. The car is close. We just need a little bit more. I would like to have been a little better than that. I thought it was going to be decent, but got a little loose in (Turns) Three and Four and lost a little there. We've got to figure out some stuff for tomorrow."

KASEY KAHNE (No. 9 Budweiser Dodge Charger) Qualified 29th

"I've been loose every day I've raced here (he raced Wednesday night). It was the same today in qualifying. We just have to make good decisions on the setup. We need to get the car under control and maintain that throughout the race tomorrow night."

DAVID STREMME (No. 12 Penske Racing Dodge Charger) Qualified 34th

"We've got a really good car in race trim. We were just horrible in qualifying."

SAM HORNISH JR. (No. 77 Mobil 1 Dodge Charger) Qualified 38th

"We definitely would've liked to have qualified better than we did today. The Mobil 1 Dodge was loose on entry and tight in the center of the turns during practice this afternoon and we just didn't seem to get it sorted out. Fortunately, five of our top-10 finishes this season have come after we started from the back half of the field. Hopefully, we'll be able to do the same tomorrow night."

ELLIOTT SADLER (No. 19 Stanley Tools Dodge Charger) Qualified 42nd

"That was a handful, the biggest I've had qualifying here at Bristol. We missed it somewhere. I'm not sure where. We'll try to make it better for tomorrow night. Our race setup was decent. We're going to have to use our heads tomorrow night, try to get some track position, use some pit strategy. We definitely put ourselves in a hole. We'll just have to work hard tomorrow night and see what we can do."
